Response to COVID-19

Filling out the form below does not guarantee you will receive the dates and times you select.  All participants in the Community Assistance Program must fill out Achieve Learning Center's required paperwork before their children will be admitted into the building including the COVID-19 waiver.  Failure to do so will result in cancellation of your slots.  We recommend that you read the details below about signing up your children.

COVID-19 Response and Community Assistance Program

Achieve is committed to maintaining a safe learning environment for all students at all times.  After reviewing the data associated with COVID-19, we will stay open until further notice.  We will continue to serve students in our Spring Break classes and will see our regular families on their regular schedule.  Based on data, children are getting only mild symptoms of the COVID-19 virus.  Most people without major health issues or weak immune systems are getting better.

In addition, Achieve Learning Center will be opening its doors to families in need of assistance with child care or educational opportunities during this time of school closures.  We will offer fun learning activities or help with classwork from teachers for ages 5-18 in small groups of 5 or less Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. beginning on Monday, March 23rd.  This service will be offered free of charge for parents who still need to go into work or need just an hour or two kid free to get work done at home.  Please be respectful of others as you sign up for this program.
  • Sign ups will be limited to 5 or less students - no exceptions
  • Sign ups will be granted on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Each student must be signed up individually.  Siblings cannot be listed on the same form.
  • While you still have to work, keep in mind that other's do too.  Please limit your time to just what you need.  No approvals will be given for all 10 days for 8:00-4:00 p.m.
  • If you do not fill out all required paperwork before your first scheduled slot, all appointments will be canceled.
  • Should we exceed the number of students we can allow, we will create a waiting list on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Students will need to bring all required materials with them to Achieve including work to do, devices, school supplies, snacks, lunches, water bottles, etc.  While Achieve will supply some activities, it is also important that students are meeting requirements set forth by their teachers during this time.  Please be sure that all devices come fully charged.

In order to keep safety at the forefront of our operations, Achieve will implement the following procedures beginning Wednesday, March 18th.
  • Limit the number of students on site to 5 or less at all times.
  • All surface areas will be sanitized regularly.
  • Parents and students are asked to use hand sanitizer before entering the building.
  • Parents and students should ring the bell (we will also disinfect the bell) or knock and allow Achieve staff to let you into and out of the building.
  • Snacks and drinks must be brought from home (we will temporarily suspend the use of the communal fridge)
  • Treasure box items will only be handled by a teacher after the teacher has washed their hands.  Students will not be allowed to sift through the box.
  • Students who need devices must bring one from home.  Achieve will temporarily suspend the use of shared devices.
  • The piano keys will be disinfected between students.
  • Achieve will encourage regular hand washing here.  Please encourage this at home as well.
  • Before allowing entry into Achieve, all persons will be screened including a temperature being taken.  Any person who meets the following criteria will be denied entry:
  1. A temperature of 100.4 degrees F or above
  2. Signs or symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as a cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, and low-grade fever
  3. In the previous 14 days has had contact with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19; is under investigation for COVID-19 or is ill with a respiratory illness
  4. In the previous 14 days has travelled internationally to countries with widespread, sustained community transmission.  For updated information on affected countries, visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/travelers/index.html

Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to keep safety a top priority at Achieve Learning Center!
